Being an Easterned, its only at occasions that we will head out to the west. Since we don't come here often, it's time to try the famous satay vermincelli here!
We were quite fortunate as there were only 3 people ahead of me in the queue. Heard the queue can get quite long on regular days; probably many people were out of country for the festival.
After about 10mins of waiting, the vermincelli are ready!
It's quickly cooked in piping hot water with cured cuttlefish, pork liver and array of vegetables, finished with the infamous satay sauce. For $3, it's decent though it's not a huge serving.Of course, there are options for bigger serving, more ingredients at additional cost.
Lunch was wrapped up with silky smooth beancurd ($0.80 a bowl). You don't get such prices around often with our modern society.
Great place to visit if you are in the west!
